About the Mercedes-Benz GLS
The Mercedes-Benz GLS is the largest of the Mercedes SUVs: a 3.0 V6 turbo petrol engine, an automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive, which Mercedes calls 4MATIC. It seats seven, takes four large suitcases and uses about 12.4 L per 100 km. Its third row makes it the luxury choice for a family or a small group travelling together. Drivers must be aged 25 or older with a licence held for at least 3 years.
It suits families and groups who want comfort on long days: from Tbilisi airport up to Kazbegi, a winter week in Gudauri, or the drive west to Kutaisi and Batumi. On a wedding day it can carry the parents or the bridesmaids behind the couple's car, or lead the procession itself; see our wedding cars. It is approved for paved mountain roads in every season, but not for gravel valleys such as Truso and Juta.
Tip: for seven adults with large suitcases on paved roads, the Mercedes-Benz V-Class gives more luggage space; for snow and mountain roads, the GLS is the better choice.

Where you can drive it
Approved for paved roads and mountain routes such as Kazbegi, Gudauri, Mestia and Ushguli in summer. With all-wheel drive it is a good choice in winter too. Rough gravel tracks need a 4x4 with low range.

What do I need to rent the Mercedes-Benz GLS?

Both seat seven, take four large suitcases, have all-wheel drive and are approved for Kazbegi and Gudauri in any season, and both are on our wedding cars page. The Cadillac Escalade has a 6.2 V8 and the bigger presence at the head of a procession. The GLS costs noticeably less per day and uses less fuel, about 12.4 L per 100 km against 15 L, which counts on a long road trip.
Can we book the Mercedes GLS for a Georgian wedding?
