About the BMW 5 Series
The BMW 5 Series is the executive sedan between the 3 Series and the 7 Series: a 3.0 turbo petrol engine, rear-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox, with fuel use of about 9.8 L per 100 km. It seats five and takes three large suitcases. It is a driver's car as much as a business car, with a strong engine that makes overtaking on the main highways easy. It follows our standard rental rules, so the driver must be aged 21 or older.
Rent a 5 Series for a week of meetings in Tbilisi, with free delivery to your hotel, or for the long drive west to Kutaisi and Batumi. A paved run to the Kakheti wineries, or up to Kazbegi in summer, suits it well. It is a rear-wheel-drive car approved for paved roads, so snowy mountain passes and gravel tracks need a different vehicle.
Tip: if your trip falls in winter or includes Gudauri, the all-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz C-Class is approved for mountain roads.

BMW 5 Series: questions and answers
How much does it cost to rent a BMW 5 Series in Tbilisi?
The BMW 5 Series costs 380 GEL a day for 1 to 3 days, 361 GEL a day for 4 to 7 days, 342 GEL for 8 to 14 days and 323 GEL for 15 days or more. Unlimited mileage, basic insurance (CDW) and delivery to Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport are included, and you pay at pickup.
Can I drive the BMW 5 Series to Kazbegi, Gudauri or Svaneti?
Yes in the warm months: the roads to Kazbegi (Stepantsminda) and Mestia are paved. In winter, when the Jvari Pass and Gudauri can be under snow, choose an AWD or 4x4 car instead. The BMW 5 Series is not made for gravel valleys such as Truso or Juta.
How many people and suitcases fit in the BMW 5 Series?
The BMW 5 Series has 5 seats and 4 doors. With all seats in use the boot takes about 3 large suitcases plus small bags. For bigger groups see our minivans and 7 seat cars.
Is there a deposit for the BMW 5 Series?
Yes, a refundable deposit of 300 GEL is paid at pickup and returned when the car comes back in the same condition. The rental is also paid at pickup, in cash or by card; nothing is charged when you book.
How much fuel does the BMW 5 Series use?
About 9.8 litres per 100 km with its 3.0 turbo petrol engine. The fuel policy is same to same: you receive the car with a full tank and return it full.
Where can I pick up the BMW 5 Series?
At Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport, where we meet you in the arrivals hall, or at your hotel in Tbilisi or Batumi. Delivery is free; returning the car in another city has a fixed one-way fee shown in the booking summary.
BMW 5 Series or Mercedes E-Class: which business sedan should I rent?
They cost the same per day, both seat five and take three large suitcases, and both are rear-wheel-drive sedans for paved roads. Choose the 5 Series for its stronger 3.0 turbo engine and sportier feel, which pays off on the highway to Batumi. Choose the Mercedes-Benz E-Class for a softer ride and lower fuel use, about 7.5 L per 100 km against 9.8 L. Both follow our standard age rule of 21 or older.
Can I rent the BMW 5 Series with a driver for a business trip in Tbilisi?
Yes. Tick the driver option on the booking form and our driver takes the wheel for 150 GEL a day, for up to 8 hours, so you can work in the back between meetings and do not need a driving licence. Write the airport, hotel and meeting addresses in the booking comments. If you prefer to drive yourself, the car can be delivered free to your hotel in Tbilisi or to any of the three airports.
