About the Jeep Grand Cherokee
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is a large five-seat SUV with a 3.6 V6 petrol engine, all-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox. It takes four large suitcases and uses about 11.2 L per 100 km. The V6 gives it easy power on long climbs, and the cabin is roomy enough for four adults to travel in comfort all day.
It is built for the big road trip with plenty of luggage: up the Georgian Military Highway to Kazbegi and Gudauri in any season, west through Kutaisi to Mestia and Ushguli in summer, then down to the coast at Batumi. Ours is rented as an AWD SUV for paved and mountain roads; for gravel valleys such as Truso and Juta, take the Jeep Wrangler with low range.
Tip: if you are six or seven, the Toyota Highlander has a similar V6, seven seats and room for four suitcases with the third row folded.

Jeep Grand Cherokee: questions and answers
How much does it cost to rent a Jeep Grand Cherokee in Tbilisi?
The Jeep Grand Cherokee costs 165 GEL a day for 1 to 3 days, 157 GEL a day for 4 to 7 days, 149 GEL for 8 to 14 days and 140 GEL for 15 days or more. Unlimited mileage, basic insurance (CDW) and delivery to Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport are included, and you pay at pickup.
Can I drive the Jeep Grand Cherokee to Kazbegi, Gudauri or Svaneti?
Yes. With all-wheel drive the Jeep Grand Cherokee suits the Georgian Military Highway to Kazbegi and Gudauri, the road to Mestia and the road from Mestia to Ushguli, in summer and in winter. Rough gravel valleys such as Truso and Juta need a 4x4.
How many people and suitcases fit in the Jeep Grand Cherokee?
The Jeep Grand Cherokee has 5 seats and 5 doors. With all seats in use the boot takes about 4 large suitcases plus small bags. For bigger groups see our minivans and 7 seat cars.
Is there a deposit for the Jeep Grand Cherokee?
No. The Jeep Grand Cherokee has no security deposit and nothing is blocked on your card. You pay the rental at pickup, in cash (GEL, USD, EUR) or by card.
How much fuel does the Jeep Grand Cherokee use?
About 11.2 litres per 100 km with its 3.6 V6 petrol engine. The fuel policy is same to same: you receive the car with a full tank and return it full.
Where can I pick up the Jeep Grand Cherokee?
At Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport, where we meet you in the arrivals hall, or at your hotel in Tbilisi or Batumi. Delivery is free; returning the car in another city has a fixed one-way fee shown in the booking summary.
Jeep Grand Cherokee or BMW X5: is the luxury SUV worth it?
For most trips, the Grand Cherokee does the job for much less. Both are five seat AWD SUVs with room for four large suitcases and approval for mountain routes. The BMW X5 adds a more luxurious cabin and sharper handling, but it costs far more per day, needs a driver aged 25 or older with 3 years of licence, and has a refundable deposit. The Grand Cherokee has no deposit and the standard minimum age of 21.
Can I drive the Jeep Grand Cherokee to the Truso valley or Tusheti?
No. Our Grand Cherokee is approved for paved roads and mountain routes such as Kazbegi, Gudauri, Mestia and Ushguli, but not for the gravel tracks of the Truso and Juta valleys. Tusheti over the Abano Pass is allowed only in our 4x4 off-road cars, with written permission. For those routes, book the Jeep Wrangler or, for a group of seven, the Lexus GX 460.
