About the Toyota Highlander
The Toyota Highlander is a large three-row SUV with seven seats and a 3.5 V6 petrol engine driving all four wheels. The V6 makes easy work of long climbs, and fuel use of about 11.0 L per 100 km reflects that power. With the third row folded, it swallows four large suitcases.
It is the comfortable way to move a group of six or seven to Kazbegi, Gudauri or Mestia, in summer or winter. A family with grandparents covering Kakheti and the Georgian Military Highway in one week will find it relaxed and roomy. It is not a low-range 4x4, so gravel valleys such as Truso and the road to Tusheti are not on its list.
Tip: with all seven seats in use, luggage space shrinks, so pack soft bags, or choose the Delica D:5 if everyone brings a big suitcase.

Toyota Highlander: questions and answers
How much does it cost to rent a Toyota Highlander in Tbilisi?
The Toyota Highlander costs 175 GEL a day for 1 to 3 days, 166 GEL a day for 4 to 7 days, 158 GEL for 8 to 14 days and 149 GEL for 15 days or more. Unlimited mileage, basic insurance (CDW) and delivery to Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport are included, and you pay at pickup.
Can I drive the Toyota Highlander to Kazbegi, Gudauri or Svaneti?
Yes. With all-wheel drive the Toyota Highlander suits the Georgian Military Highway to Kazbegi and Gudauri, the road to Mestia and the road from Mestia to Ushguli, in summer and in winter. Rough gravel valleys such as Truso and Juta need a 4x4.
How many people and suitcases fit in the Toyota Highlander?
The Toyota Highlander has 7 seats and 5 doors. With all seats in use the boot takes about 4 large suitcases plus small bags. For bigger groups see our minivans and 7 seat cars.
Is there a deposit for the Toyota Highlander?
No. The Toyota Highlander has no security deposit and nothing is blocked on your card. You pay the rental at pickup, in cash (GEL, USD, EUR) or by card.
How much fuel does the Toyota Highlander use?
About 11 litres per 100 km with its 3.5 V6 petrol engine. The fuel policy is same to same: you receive the car with a full tank and return it full.
Where can I pick up the Toyota Highlander?
At Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport, where we meet you in the arrivals hall, or at your hotel in Tbilisi or Batumi. Delivery is free; returning the car in another city has a fixed one-way fee shown in the booking summary.
Toyota Highlander or Mitsubishi Delica: which suits a group of seven?
Choose the Highlander for comfort on paved and mountain roads, and the Mitsubishi Delica D:5 if all seven people bring big suitcases or you plan gravel valleys such as Truso. With every seat in use, the Highlander has room for soft bags only, while the Delica keeps more space behind its last row. The Highlander's V6 also makes it the quieter, faster car on the highway.
Can I take the Toyota Highlander to Tusheti or the Truso valley?
No. The Highlander is a large AWD SUV without low range gearing, so it is approved for paved roads and mountain routes but not for gravel valleys such as Truso and Juta. Tusheti over the Abano Pass is only allowed in our 4x4 off-road cars, with written permission. For seven people on those roads, the Land Cruiser Prado is the vehicle to book.
