About the Jeep Wrangler
The Jeep Wrangler is the classic Jeep off-roader: a body-on-frame build, a 3.6 V6 petrol engine, an automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive with low range. Ours is the five-door version, with five seats, room for three large suitcases and fuel use of about 11.8 L per 100 km. Short overhangs and solid axles make it one of the most capable cars you can take onto rough ground.
This is the car for the tracks that AWD SUVs cannot take: the Truso valley along the Terek river, the road to Juta below the Chaukhi peaks, the side valleys of Svaneti and the forest tracks of Racha. Tusheti over the Abano Pass needs our written permission, as with every car in our 4x4 range. A refundable deposit of 300 GEL is paid at pickup and returned when the car comes back.
Tip: the Wrangler rides firmly and is noisier at highway speed than a road SUV, so for a trip of long highway days and only a little gravel, the Land Cruiser Prado is the more comfortable 4x4.

Jeep Wrangler: questions and answers
How much does it cost to rent a Jeep Wrangler in Tbilisi?
The Jeep Wrangler costs 320 GEL a day for 1 to 3 days, 304 GEL a day for 4 to 7 days, 288 GEL for 8 to 14 days and 272 GEL for 15 days or more. Unlimited mileage, basic insurance (CDW) and delivery to Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport are included, and you pay at pickup.
Can I drive the Jeep Wrangler to Kazbegi, Gudauri or Svaneti?
Yes. The Jeep Wrangler is approved for mountain roads in every season and for gravel tracks such as the Truso and Juta valleys. Tusheti (Abano Pass) is allowed only with our written permission, and Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region are always excluded.
How many people and suitcases fit in the Jeep Wrangler?
The Jeep Wrangler has 5 seats and 5 doors. With all seats in use the boot takes about 3 large suitcases plus small bags. For bigger groups see our minivans and 7 seat cars.
Is there a deposit for the Jeep Wrangler?
Yes, a refundable deposit of 300 GEL is paid at pickup and returned when the car comes back in the same condition. The rental is also paid at pickup, in cash or by card; nothing is charged when you book.
How much fuel does the Jeep Wrangler use?
About 11.8 litres per 100 km with its 3.6 V6 petrol engine. The fuel policy is same to same: you receive the car with a full tank and return it full.
Where can I pick up the Jeep Wrangler?
At Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport, where we meet you in the arrivals hall, or at your hotel in Tbilisi or Batumi. Delivery is free; returning the car in another city has a fixed one-way fee shown in the booking summary.
Jeep Wrangler or Toyota 4Runner: which five seat 4x4 should I rent?
Both are five seat V6 petrol 4x4s with low range and approval for gravel valleys such as Truso and Juta. The Wrangler is the more agile off-roader, with short overhangs that help on steep, rutted tracks. The Toyota 4Runner costs less per day, takes four large suitcases instead of three and is quieter on the highway. Both have a refundable deposit of 300 GEL, paid at pickup.
Can I take the Jeep Wrangler to Tusheti over the Abano Pass?
Only with our written permission, which we give to experienced drivers in the summer months when the Abano Pass is open. The Wrangler is one of our 4x4 off-road cars approved for that road, thanks to its low range gearing and short overhangs. Tell us your dates and driving experience before you book, and start the drive with a full tank. The occupied territories are always excluded.
