About the Jeep Cherokee
The Jeep Cherokee is a midsize SUV with a 2.4 petrol engine, all-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox. It seats five, takes three large suitcases and uses about 10.2 L per 100 km. It is roomier inside than the compact Jeeps in our range, and it is one of the most affordable AWD SUVs we offer.
It is a solid choice for a mountain road trip on a budget: up the Georgian Military Highway to Kazbegi, skiing in Gudauri in winter, or from Kutaisi airport up to Mestia in Svaneti. The Jeep name suggests rough tracks, but ours is rented as an AWD SUV for paved and mountain roads; for the Truso and Juta valleys, book the Jeep Wrangler with low range instead.
Tip: if you want more power and space for four suitcases, the Jeep Grand Cherokee adds a V6 for the long climbs.

Jeep Cherokee: questions and answers
How much does it cost to rent a Jeep Cherokee in Tbilisi?
The Jeep Cherokee costs 110 GEL a day for 1 to 3 days, 105 GEL a day for 4 to 7 days, 99 GEL for 8 to 14 days and 94 GEL for 15 days or more. Unlimited mileage, basic insurance (CDW) and delivery to Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport are included, and you pay at pickup.
Can I drive the Jeep Cherokee to Kazbegi, Gudauri or Svaneti?
Yes. With all-wheel drive the Jeep Cherokee suits the Georgian Military Highway to Kazbegi and Gudauri, the road to Mestia and the road from Mestia to Ushguli, in summer and in winter. Rough gravel valleys such as Truso and Juta need a 4x4.
How many people and suitcases fit in the Jeep Cherokee?
The Jeep Cherokee has 5 seats and 5 doors. With all seats in use the boot takes about 3 large suitcases plus small bags. For bigger groups see our minivans and 7 seat cars.
Is there a deposit for the Jeep Cherokee?
No. The Jeep Cherokee has no security deposit and nothing is blocked on your card. You pay the rental at pickup, in cash (GEL, USD, EUR) or by card.
How much fuel does the Jeep Cherokee use?
About 10.2 litres per 100 km with its 2.4 petrol engine. The fuel policy is same to same: you receive the car with a full tank and return it full.
Where can I pick up the Jeep Cherokee?
At Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport, where we meet you in the arrivals hall, or at your hotel in Tbilisi or Batumi. Delivery is free; returning the car in another city has a fixed one-way fee shown in the booking summary.
Can I take the Jeep Cherokee off-road to the Truso or Juta valley?
No. Our Cherokee is approved for paved roads and mountain routes such as Kazbegi, Gudauri, Mestia and Ushguli, but not for gravel valleys like Truso and Juta, which need a 4x4 with low range. For those trips, the Jeep Wrangler is the Jeep to book, or the seven seat Land Cruiser Prado for a bigger group. Our 4x4 off-road cars have a refundable deposit of 300 GEL.
Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee: is the bigger Jeep worth it?
Choose the Cherokee if three large suitcases are enough and you want the lower daily rate, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee if you want V6 power for long climbs and space for four large suitcases. Both are five seat AWD SUVs approved for the same mountain routes, and neither has a deposit. The Cherokee also uses less fuel, about 10.2 L per 100 km against the Grand Cherokee's 11.2 L.
