About the Kia Sorento
The Kia Sorento is a seven-seat SUV with a 3.3 V6 petrol engine, all-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox. With the third row folded it takes three large suitcases, and it uses about 12.4 L per 100 km. The V6 keeps it relaxed on long climbs even with a full load.
It suits a family of five or six touring the country: the Georgian Military Highway to Gudauri and Kazbegi in summer or winter, the wine villages of Kakheti, or the road from Zugdidi to Mestia. Children can ride in the third row on shorter hops. It has no low range, so gravel valleys such as Truso and Juta need a 4x4 like the seven-seat Land Cruiser Prado.
Tip: the V6 is thirsty, so on a long loop the Mitsubishi Outlander gives you seven seats with much lower fuel use.

Kia Sorento: questions and answers
How much does it cost to rent a Kia Sorento in Tbilisi?
The Kia Sorento costs 145 GEL a day for 1 to 3 days, 138 GEL a day for 4 to 7 days, 131 GEL for 8 to 14 days and 123 GEL for 15 days or more. Unlimited mileage, basic insurance (CDW) and delivery to Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport are included, and you pay at pickup.
Can I drive the Kia Sorento to Kazbegi, Gudauri or Svaneti?
Yes. With all-wheel drive the Kia Sorento suits the Georgian Military Highway to Kazbegi and Gudauri, the road to Mestia and the road from Mestia to Ushguli, in summer and in winter. Rough gravel valleys such as Truso and Juta need a 4x4.
How many people and suitcases fit in the Kia Sorento?
The Kia Sorento has 7 seats and 5 doors. With all seats in use the boot takes about 3 large suitcases plus small bags. For bigger groups see our minivans and 7 seat cars.
Is there a deposit for the Kia Sorento?
No. The Kia Sorento has no security deposit and nothing is blocked on your card. You pay the rental at pickup, in cash (GEL, USD, EUR) or by card.
How much fuel does the Kia Sorento use?
About 12.4 litres per 100 km with its 3.3 V6 petrol engine. The fuel policy is same to same: you receive the car with a full tank and return it full.
Where can I pick up the Kia Sorento?
At Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport, where we meet you in the arrivals hall, or at your hotel in Tbilisi or Batumi. Delivery is free; returning the car in another city has a fixed one-way fee shown in the booking summary.
Kia Sorento or Mitsubishi Outlander: which seven seat SUV should I rent?
Both have seven seats, all-wheel drive and room for three large suitcases with the third row folded, and both are approved for mountain routes. The Sorento is the larger of the two, and its 3.3 V6 gives more power for long climbs with a full car. The Mitsubishi Outlander uses much less fuel, about 8.5 L per 100 km against 12.4 L, which adds up on a long trip.
Can adults sit in the third row of the Kia Sorento?
For short trips, yes, but the third row is best for children or smaller adults. On a long day such as Tbilisi to Mestia, it is more comfortable to seat five and fold the third row for luggage. With all seven seats in use, only small soft bags fit behind the last row. For seven adults with suitcases, the Mitsubishi Delica D:5 or the Hyundai H-1 is the better choice.
