About the Kia Carnival
The Kia Carnival, sold as the Kia Sedona in North America, is a large minivan with eight seats, sliding side doors and a 3.3 V6 petrol engine with an automatic gearbox. It drives the front wheels, takes four large suitcases with every seat in use and uses about 11.5 L per 100 km. Three rows of proper seats make it a real alternative to renting two cars.
Book a Carnival when a group of up to eight wants to travel together: a family arriving at Kutaisi airport and heading for Batumi and the coast, friends touring Kakheti, or a business team moving between meetings in Tbilisi. A summer trip up the Georgian Military Highway to Kazbegi is fine. It is approved for paved roads only, so leave winter mountain passes and gravel valleys to a car from our 4x4 range.
Tip: on a wine tasting day in Kakheti, add our driver for 150 GEL a day, so the whole group can enjoy the wine and nobody has to drive.

Kia Carnival: questions and answers
How much does it cost to rent a Kia Carnival in Tbilisi?
The Kia Carnival costs 180 GEL a day for 1 to 3 days, 171 GEL a day for 4 to 7 days, 162 GEL for 8 to 14 days and 153 GEL for 15 days or more. Unlimited mileage, basic insurance (CDW) and delivery to Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport are included, and you pay at pickup.
Can I drive the Kia Carnival to Kazbegi, Gudauri or Svaneti?
Yes in the warm months: the roads to Kazbegi (Stepantsminda) and Mestia are paved. In winter, when the Jvari Pass and Gudauri can be under snow, choose an AWD or 4x4 car instead. The Kia Carnival is not made for gravel valleys such as Truso or Juta.
How many people and suitcases fit in the Kia Carnival?
The Kia Carnival has 8 seats and 5 doors. With all seats in use the boot takes about 4 large suitcases plus small bags. For bigger groups see our minivans and 7 seat cars.
Is there a deposit for the Kia Carnival?
No. The Kia Carnival has no security deposit and nothing is blocked on your card. You pay the rental at pickup, in cash (GEL, USD, EUR) or by card.
How much fuel does the Kia Carnival use?
About 11.5 litres per 100 km with its 3.3 V6 petrol engine. The fuel policy is same to same: you receive the car with a full tank and return it full.
Where can I pick up the Kia Carnival?
At Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport, where we meet you in the arrivals hall, or at your hotel in Tbilisi or Batumi. Delivery is free; returning the car in another city has a fixed one-way fee shown in the booking summary.
Is the Kia Carnival the same minivan as the Kia Sedona?
Yes. This generation of the Carnival was sold as the Kia Sedona in the United States and Canada, so if you have driven a Sedona at home, the layout and controls will be familiar. Ours has the 3.3 V6 petrol engine, an automatic gearbox, eight seats and sliding side doors. It is driven on a normal category B licence and is approved for paved roads.
Kia Carnival or Mercedes V-Class: which should our group rent?
Choose the Carnival for a family or group of up to eight that wants space at a sensible price, and the Mercedes-Benz V-Class when the impression matters, for business guests, VIP transfers or a wedding. The V-Class seats seven, takes five large suitcases and uses less fuel with its diesel engine, but it costs considerably more per day and has a refundable deposit. The Carnival has one more seat and no deposit.
