About the Chevrolet Cruze
The Chevrolet Cruze is a compact sedan with a 1.4 turbo petrol engine, front-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox. It seats five, takes three large suitcases and uses about 6.9 L per 100 km, which makes it one of the most economical petrol cars in our sedan range. The small turbo engine pulls well from low revs, so it does not feel short of breath with a full car.
It is made for paved roads: a few days in Tbilisi with day trips to Mtskheta and the wine villages of Kakheti, or the E60 west to Kutaisi and on to the Black Sea at Batumi. With free delivery to Tbilisi airport or your hotel in Tbilisi, the car is waiting when you arrive. Kazbegi is fine in summer, but for snow on the Jvari Pass choose an AWD SUV from our 4x4 range, and keep the Cruze off gravel tracks.
Tip: the Volkswagen Jetta has the same engine size and the same boot space, so it is a like-for-like swap if the Cruze is booked on your dates.

Chevrolet Cruze: questions and answers
How much does it cost to rent a Chevrolet Cruze in Tbilisi?
The Chevrolet Cruze costs 90 GEL a day for 1 to 3 days, 86 GEL a day for 4 to 7 days, 81 GEL for 8 to 14 days and 77 GEL for 15 days or more. Unlimited mileage, basic insurance (CDW) and delivery to Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport are included, and you pay at pickup.
Can I drive the Chevrolet Cruze to Kazbegi, Gudauri or Svaneti?
Yes in the warm months: the roads to Kazbegi (Stepantsminda) and Mestia are paved. In winter, when the Jvari Pass and Gudauri can be under snow, choose an AWD or 4x4 car instead. The Chevrolet Cruze is not made for gravel valleys such as Truso or Juta.
How many people and suitcases fit in the Chevrolet Cruze?
The Chevrolet Cruze has 5 seats and 4 doors. With all seats in use the boot takes about 3 large suitcases plus small bags. For bigger groups see our minivans and 7 seat cars.
Is there a deposit for the Chevrolet Cruze?
No. The Chevrolet Cruze has no security deposit and nothing is blocked on your card. You pay the rental at pickup, in cash (GEL, USD, EUR) or by card.
How much fuel does the Chevrolet Cruze use?
About 6.9 litres per 100 km with its 1.4 turbo petrol engine. The fuel policy is same to same: you receive the car with a full tank and return it full.
Where can I pick up the Chevrolet Cruze?
At Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport, where we meet you in the arrivals hall, or at your hotel in Tbilisi or Batumi. Delivery is free; returning the car in another city has a fixed one-way fee shown in the booking summary.
Chevrolet Cruze or Toyota Corolla: which compact sedan should I rent?
Both are five seat sedans with an automatic gearbox, room for three large suitcases and approval for paved roads, so the choice comes down to price and feel. The Cruze costs less per day, and its 1.4 turbo engine pulls more strongly at low revs when the car is full. The Toyota Corolla uses a little less fuel, at about 6.5 L per 100 km, and carries Toyota's reputation for reliability.
Is the Chevrolet Cruze's 1.4 turbo engine strong enough for Georgia's hills?
Yes, on paved roads. A turbo engine delivers its pulling power low in the rev range, so the Cruze climbs the E60 between Tbilisi and Kutaisi and the road up to Sighnaghi without strain, even with four people and their luggage. In summer it also manages the paved road to Kazbegi. On long descents, use the lower gears of the automatic gearbox to hold your speed instead of riding the brakes.
