About the Volkswagen Jetta
The Volkswagen Jetta is a compact sedan with a 1.4 turbo petrol engine, front-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox. It seats five, takes three large suitcases and uses about 7.4 L per 100 km. It has one of the lowest daily rates in our sedan range, and its roomy boot makes airport runs with full luggage easy.
It suits travellers who want a sensible car for paved roads at a modest price: a week split between Tbilisi and the wine villages of Kakheti, or a drive from Kutaisi airport to the coast at Batumi. Kazbegi is fine in summer on the paved Georgian Military Highway. In winter, and anywhere the asphalt ends, choose a car from our 4x4 range instead.
Tip: for a couple travelling light on a long loop, the Toyota Prius uses far less fuel; for four adults with suitcases, the Jetta's bigger boot is the better deal.

Volkswagen Jetta: questions and answers
How much does it cost to rent a Volkswagen Jetta in Tbilisi?
The Volkswagen Jetta costs 75 GEL a day for 1 to 3 days, 71 GEL a day for 4 to 7 days, 68 GEL for 8 to 14 days and 64 GEL for 15 days or more. Unlimited mileage, basic insurance (CDW) and delivery to Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport are included, and you pay at pickup.
Can I drive the Volkswagen Jetta to Kazbegi, Gudauri or Svaneti?
Yes in the warm months: the roads to Kazbegi (Stepantsminda) and Mestia are paved. In winter, when the Jvari Pass and Gudauri can be under snow, choose an AWD or 4x4 car instead. The Volkswagen Jetta is not made for gravel valleys such as Truso or Juta.
How many people and suitcases fit in the Volkswagen Jetta?
The Volkswagen Jetta has 5 seats and 4 doors. With all seats in use the boot takes about 3 large suitcases plus small bags. For bigger groups see our minivans and 7 seat cars.
Is there a deposit for the Volkswagen Jetta?
No. The Volkswagen Jetta has no security deposit and nothing is blocked on your card. You pay the rental at pickup, in cash (GEL, USD, EUR) or by card.
How much fuel does the Volkswagen Jetta use?
About 7.4 litres per 100 km with its 1.4 turbo petrol engine. The fuel policy is same to same: you receive the car with a full tank and return it full.
Where can I pick up the Volkswagen Jetta?
At Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport, where we meet you in the arrivals hall, or at your hotel in Tbilisi or Batumi. Delivery is free; returning the car in another city has a fixed one-way fee shown in the booking summary.
Volkswagen Jetta or Chevrolet Cruze: which 1.4 turbo sedan should I choose?
They are very close: both have a 1.4 turbo petrol engine, an automatic gearbox, five seats and room for three large suitcases, and both are approved for paved roads. The Jetta costs less per day, while the Chevrolet Cruze uses a little less fuel, at about 6.9 L per 100 km against 7.4 L. Unless you drive very long distances every day, the Jetta's lower daily rate outweighs the small difference in fuel.
Volkswagen Jetta or Toyota Prius: which is cheaper for a week in Georgia?
The Jetta has the lower daily rate, but the Toyota Prius hybrid uses about 4.5 L per 100 km against the Jetta's 7.4 L. On a city stay or a short trip the Jetta comes out ahead; on a long loop of 1,500 km or more, the Prius's fuel saving can outweigh the difference in daily rate. The Jetta has the bigger boot, with room for three large suitcases instead of two.
