About the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, sold as the ASX in Europe and much of Asia, is a compact SUV with a 2.0 petrol engine, all-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox. It seats five, takes two large suitcases plus small bags and uses about 9.0 L per 100 km. Shorter than the seven-seat Outlander, it is easy to place on narrow streets and mountain roads.
It suits a couple or a family of three heading for the mountains: Kazbegi in summer or winter, a few days of skiing in Gudauri, or a summer trip from Kutaisi up to Mestia. All-wheel drive adds grip on snow and wet hairpins. It has no low range, so gravel valleys such as Truso and Juta are not on its list.
Tip: if you are five with full-size suitcases, or need extra seats for children, the Mitsubishi Outlander has seven seats and a larger boot.

Mitsubishi Outlander Sport: questions and answers
How much does it cost to rent a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in Tbilisi?
The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport costs 130 GEL a day for 1 to 3 days, 124 GEL a day for 4 to 7 days, 117 GEL for 8 to 14 days and 111 GEL for 15 days or more. Unlimited mileage, basic insurance (CDW) and delivery to Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport are included, and you pay at pickup.
Can I drive the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport to Kazbegi, Gudauri or Svaneti?
Yes. With all-wheel drive the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport suits the Georgian Military Highway to Kazbegi and Gudauri, the road to Mestia and the road from Mestia to Ushguli, in summer and in winter. Rough gravel valleys such as Truso and Juta need a 4x4.
How many people and suitcases fit in the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport?
The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport has 5 seats and 5 doors. With all seats in use the boot takes about 2 large suitcases plus small bags. For bigger groups see our minivans and 7 seat cars.
Is there a deposit for the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport?
No. The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport has no security deposit and nothing is blocked on your card. You pay the rental at pickup, in cash (GEL, USD, EUR) or by card.
How much fuel does the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport use?
About 9 litres per 100 km with its 2.0 petrol engine. The fuel policy is same to same: you receive the car with a full tank and return it full.
Where can I pick up the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport?
At Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport, where we meet you in the arrivals hall, or at your hotel in Tbilisi or Batumi. Delivery is free; returning the car in another city has a fixed one-way fee shown in the booking summary.
Mitsubishi Outlander Sport or Outlander: what is the difference?
Despite the shared name, they are different cars. The Outlander Sport is a compact five seat SUV with a 2.0 engine and room for two large suitcases. The Mitsubishi Outlander is larger, with seven seats, a 2.4 engine and room for three large suitcases with the third row folded. Both have all-wheel drive and are approved for mountain routes. The Outlander Sport is easier to park; the Outlander suits bigger families.
Is the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport big enough for a family of four?
Yes for two adults and two children with sensible luggage. The boot takes two large suitcases plus small bags, so a family of four should bring one big case per two people and soft bags for the rest. Child seats and boosters can be added on the booking form. If everyone brings a full-size suitcase, choose the Hyundai Tucson or another five seat SUV with room for three.
