About the Mitsubishi Pajero
The Mitsubishi Pajero is a proper off-roader: a 3.2 diesel engine, Super Select four-wheel drive with a low-range gear and seven seats. It uses about 10.0 L per 100 km, and the diesel's torque pulls steadily on steep, loose climbs. The third row folds into the floor, leaving room for four large suitcases.
Take it where the asphalt ends: up the Truso valley past its abandoned villages, along the track to Juta below the Chaukhi peaks, or on the road from Mestia to Ushguli. It is just as comfortable on the highway in between. Tusheti over the Abano Pass is possible only with our written permission, and the occupied territories are always excluded.
Tip: the diesel gives a long range between fill-ups, but fuel stations are scarce in the high valleys, so start every off-road day with a full tank.

Mitsubishi Pajero: questions and answers
How much does it cost to rent a Mitsubishi Pajero in Tbilisi?
The Mitsubishi Pajero costs 160 GEL a day for 1 to 3 days, 152 GEL a day for 4 to 7 days, 144 GEL for 8 to 14 days and 136 GEL for 15 days or more. Unlimited mileage, basic insurance (CDW) and delivery to Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport are included, and you pay at pickup.
Can I drive the Mitsubishi Pajero to Kazbegi, Gudauri or Svaneti?
Yes. The Mitsubishi Pajero is approved for mountain roads in every season and for gravel tracks such as the Truso and Juta valleys. Tusheti (Abano Pass) is allowed only with our written permission, and Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region are always excluded.
How many people and suitcases fit in the Mitsubishi Pajero?
The Mitsubishi Pajero has 7 seats and 5 doors. With all seats in use the boot takes about 4 large suitcases plus small bags. For bigger groups see our minivans and 7 seat cars.
Is there a deposit for the Mitsubishi Pajero?
Yes, a refundable deposit of 300 GEL is paid at pickup and returned when the car comes back in the same condition. The rental is also paid at pickup, in cash or by card; nothing is charged when you book.
How much fuel does the Mitsubishi Pajero use?
About 10 litres per 100 km with its 3.2 diesel engine. The fuel policy is same to same: you receive the car with a full tank and return it full.
Where can I pick up the Mitsubishi Pajero?
At Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport, where we meet you in the arrivals hall, or at your hotel in Tbilisi or Batumi. Delivery is free; returning the car in another city has a fixed one-way fee shown in the booking summary.
How do I use the Super Select 4WD modes in the Mitsubishi Pajero?
Use 2H on dry asphalt, 4H on gravel, wet or snowy roads, 4HLc with the centre differential locked on steep or muddy stretches, and 4LLc low range for the steepest climbs and descents. You can move between 2H and 4H while driving, but stop and select N before engaging low range. Never use the locked modes on dry asphalt, where they strain the drivetrain.
Mitsubishi Pajero or Delica D:5: which is better for the Truso valley?
The Pajero is the more capable choice for Truso, thanks to its low range gearing and strong diesel, while the Delica D:5 suits groups that need more luggage space. Both seat seven and are approved for gravel valleys. In the Pajero you can creep over rough or washed-out sections in low range, which makes the drive calmer for less experienced off-road drivers.
