About the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is a 19-seat minibus with a 2.1 diesel engine, rear-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox, and with a full group on board it carries about 12 large suitcases. It is rented only with our driver: a vehicle with more than 8 passenger seats needs a category D or D1 bus licence, so nobody in your group drives and nobody needs a licence.
It keeps a big group together: a tour group or conference team met at Tbilisi airport, wedding guests taken from the church to the supra, or a day trip to Kakheti, Borjomi or, in summer, Kazbegi. The daily price already includes the driver for up to 8 hours. The Sprinter is approved for paved roads, so tell us the route when you book and we plan the driver's day around it; more options are on our minibus page.
Tip: for a group of eight or nine who would rather drive themselves, the Hyundai H-1 is driven on a normal category B licence.

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter: questions and answers
How much does it cost to rent a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter in Tbilisi?
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter costs 300 GEL a day with our driver, for up to 8 hours a day. For longer hire it is 285 GEL a day for 4 to 7 days, 270 GEL for 8 to 14 days and 255 GEL for 15 days or more. You pay at pickup; nothing is charged when you book.
Can I drive the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter myself?
No. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is rented only with our driver, who stays with the car for up to 8 hours a day. You do not need a driving licence and there is no deposit.
How many people and suitcases fit in the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter?
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter seats 19 passengers and takes about 12 large suitcases. For a smaller group see our minivans and 7 seat cars.
Where can I pick up the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter?
Our driver meets you at Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport, or at your hotel or address in Tbilisi or Batumi. Write the addresses and the plan for the day in the booking comments.
Why is the Mercedes Sprinter only rented with a driver?
Because of the licence rules. A standard category B licence covers vehicles with up to 8 passenger seats plus the driver, and the Sprinter has 19 seats, so it needs a category D or D1 bus licence. Renting it with our driver means nobody in your group needs a licence, and the daily price already includes the driver for up to 8 hours. Everyone, the organiser included, can simply ride along.
One Sprinter or two minivans: which is better for a group of 12 to 18?
For most groups, the Sprinter. Everyone travels together, the luggage goes in one place, and nobody in the group has to drive or follow another car through Tbilisi traffic. Two self-drive Hyundai H-1 vans, with nine seats each, make sense if you have two willing drivers, want to split up during the day or plan separate routes. Both options are meant for paved roads.
