About the BMW X6
The BMW X6 is the coupé-styled sibling of the X5: a 3.0 turbo petrol engine, an automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive, which BMW calls xDrive. It seats five, takes three large suitcases and uses about 11.8 L per 100 km. The sloping roofline gives it a sportier look than a conventional SUV, while the raised seating position keeps the view clear through mountain bends. Drivers must be aged 25 or older with a licence held for at least 3 years.
It suits travellers who want an SUV with some style: a few days of meetings and dinners in Tbilisi, then a drive up the Georgian Military Highway to Kazbegi or a ski weekend in Gudauri, in summer or in winter. The road to Mestia in Svaneti is within its range too. It is approved for paved roads and mountain routes, not for gravel valleys such as Truso and Juta.
Tip: the sloping roof costs some boot space, so if you travel with four large suitcases, the BMW X5 has the same engine and all-wheel drive with a more practical boot.

BMW X6: questions and answers
How much does it cost to rent a BMW X6 in Tbilisi?
The BMW X6 costs 440 GEL a day for 1 to 3 days, 418 GEL a day for 4 to 7 days, 396 GEL for 8 to 14 days and 374 GEL for 15 days or more. Unlimited mileage, basic insurance (CDW) and delivery to Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport are included, and you pay at pickup.
What do I need to rent the BMW X6?
The driver must be at least 25 years old and have held a driving licence for 3 years or more. A refundable deposit of 1500 GEL is paid at pickup and returned when the car comes back. If you would rather not drive, book the BMW X6 with our driver.
Can I drive the BMW X6 to Kazbegi, Gudauri or Svaneti?
Yes. With all-wheel drive the BMW X6 suits the Georgian Military Highway to Kazbegi and Gudauri, the road to Mestia and the road from Mestia to Ushguli, in summer and in winter. Rough gravel valleys such as Truso and Juta need a 4x4.
How many people and suitcases fit in the BMW X6?
The BMW X6 has 5 seats and 5 doors. With all seats in use the boot takes about 3 large suitcases plus small bags. For bigger groups see our minivans and 7 seat cars.
Is there a deposit for the BMW X6?
Yes, a refundable deposit of 1500 GEL is paid at pickup and returned when the car comes back in the same condition. The rental is also paid at pickup, in cash or by card; nothing is charged when you book.
How much fuel does the BMW X6 use?
About 11.8 litres per 100 km with its 3.0 turbo petrol engine. The fuel policy is same to same: you receive the car with a full tank and return it full.
Where can I pick up the BMW X6?
At Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport, where we meet you in the arrivals hall, or at your hotel in Tbilisi or Batumi. Delivery is free; returning the car in another city has a fixed one-way fee shown in the booking summary.
BMW X6 or BMW X5: which one should I rent in Georgia?
Both have the same 3.0 turbo petrol engine, all-wheel drive and fuel use of about 11.8 L per 100 km, cost the same per day and are approved for mountain roads such as Kazbegi and Gudauri. Choose the X6 for its coupé look and sportier presence, and the BMW X5 for practicality: its upright roof gives more headroom in the back, and the boot takes four large suitcases instead of three.
Can I take the BMW X6 to Gudauri in winter?
Yes. The X6 is approved for paved mountain roads in every season, and its all-wheel drive gives steady grip on the snowy climb to Gudauri and over the Jvari Pass to Kazbegi. Drive gently, leave extra distance and check the road status on the day, because the pass can close for hours after heavy snow. Snow chains can be added on request in the booking comments, while gravel valleys such as Truso stay off limits.
